LASH LIFT/BROW LAMINATION

How to prepare

DAY OF APPOINTMENT

  • Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup, creams/lotions and avoid spray tanning 24hours prior to your appointment. For best results you need to have squeaky clean lashes/brows!
  • Please minimize your intake of caffeine before your lash appointment. The jittery-ness causes your eyelids to flutter, making it difficult to apply the eyelash mold and keep your lashes down.
  • Finally, be sure to remove your eye contacts before your lash appointment.

AFTERCARE

The great thing about a Lash Lift or Brow Lamination is that it is a very low maintenance procedure however, there is a little extra care required. The first 24-48 hours following your lash lift/lamination treatment are the most important. This is because how you care for your lashes/brows immediately following your lift/lamination will determine how long your lash lift/lamination lasts and how soon you will need to book your next appointment.

Follow these simple lash lift/lamination aftercare rules to maximize the longevity of your lash lift/lamination and keep them looking fluffy.

THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS

  • Be gentle with your lashes/Brows
  • Do not touch, rub or pick your eyes, eyelashes, or eyebrows.
  • Do not get your lashes/Brows wet.
  • No other facial beauty treatments.
  • Avoid makeup, eye cream, face cream, face oils, or sunscreen.
  • Avoid taking a sauna, steam bath, face steamer, swimming, or even excessive sweating!

LASH + BROW TINT AFTERCARE

  • Effects of the tint will start to diminish within 2 to 3 weeks as hair grows out and the tint color fades.
  • Strong sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster.
  • Use a gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover and avoid exfoliating cleansers.

DAILY AFTERCARE AFTER THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS

  • Avoid using waterproof mascara’s due to excessive rubbing required to removing.
  • Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes and brows.
  • Use a gentle face cleanser or eye makeup remover and avoid exfoliating cleansers.
  • Brush your lashes to help them keep that lush curl
  • Always Pat gently to dry
  • Sleeping on your back is best, face sleeping can kink the curl
  • To set the brows all day brush them into position when wet and let dry.
  • Use a lash/brow conditioner daily, this helps to nourish them.
  • Return every 6-8 weeks to maintain your beautiful lift/lamination (6 weeks is the average length of a lash cycle in which your old lashes will shed and new ones will come in).

Note: Not following these steps will degrade your lash lift and cause them to straighten faster.

LASH FUN FACTS

EYELASH SHEDDING CYCYLE: The average person has anywhere from 80-150 natural eyelashes per eye.

Why do you need an appointment every 6-8 weeks?

It's important to know that each eye has 90-120 natural lashes (upper lid) per eye and naturally we lose about 2-5 lashes per day.

If you average 3 lashes per day, this is how many lashes are lost each week.

1 WEEK:  21 LASHES

2 WEEKS: 42 LASHES

3 WEEKS: 63 LASHES

Twice a year, Autumn and Spring, our bodies react to the changing seasons. Our bodies decide it's time to shed our hair (including our lashes) faster than usual to adjust to the new temperatures and/or lack of sun.

Unfortunately, this means that your lashes may fall out faster than usual, resulting in Lash lift not lasting as long and also a shorter time between appointments.

Don't worry though, this will only last for one or two lash cycles and you will be back to normal before you know
